This morning we woke up to blue skies!! After the usual motel breakfast we were off. Traffic was good for us going South through Sacramento, but heading North into town was backed up for 10 mile or more.

The trees are starting to bloom, these were olive trees, we think because they were every where and there were signs for free olive tasting. The honey bees were out as well.

Hundreds of old 1st gen. windmills. Not too many of them turning. They'll end up in the bone yard next to the airplanes.

Tomorrow we head to Las Vegas. The long slow climb we had out of Bakersfield dropped our MPG to 42. Gas was as high as $4.58 for unleaded regular and as low as $4.29. It's a good thing the weather was nice, so it wasn't too hard to pay that much for gas and we only had to buy 7.5 gals.
